Veepos Guest House
This spacious self-catering family house lies in the mountains near the entrance to the Groot Winterhoek Wilderness Area, and provides wide-angle views of the Winterberg. It can be used either as a base from which to explore the reserve on a day hike, or as a mountain retreat and a place to relax. It has electricity, hot water, a bath and a shower.

The three-bedroomed house has two single beds in each room. The kitchen is fully equipped with crockery and cutlery, as well as a microwave, stove and fridge. There is no television or cellphone reception.

De Tronk Cottage
You will need a 4x4 vehicle to reach this recently upgraded three bedroomed farmhouse in the heart of the Grootwinterhoek wilderness. Once there, leave your vehicle behind and explore the various day trails in the area on foot. It is also available to multi-day hikers in the wilderness area as overnight accommodation.

The comfortable cottage consists of three bedrooms, and sleeps seven people. Seven single beds (two per room) with matrasses are provide. A living area leads into the fully equipped kitchen.

Kitchen: Fully equipped with gas stove and gas fridge.
Linen supplied: No
Swimming: In nearby river pools
Firewood provided: Limited supply
