Vrolijkheid Nature Reserve
The reserve offices are closed over weekends.
Aardwolf and Jakkalskuil
There are two charming self-catering cottages on offer for those who want to spend more time at Vrolijkheid Nature Reserve. The units are within the operation unit of the reserve close to the office where you will encounter the day-to-day activities of the reserve.
Both Aardwolf and Jakkalskuil can accommodate four people each. There are two bedrooms in each, one with a double bed and one with two single beds. The cottages are open plan, with fully equipped kitchens and spacious lounge areas. An outside braai with a picnic table is provided in the courtyard.
Warm water ablutions are available but you will need your slippers and a warm gown if you need to go to the bathroom at night as you will have to leave your room to go to the ablutions as you walk under roof on the stoop.
