Call For Comment: Rocherpan Nature Reserve Protected Area Management Plan
The Rocherpan Nature Reserve Protected Area Management Plan (PAMP) has reached the stage of stakeholder participation. Any persons having direct or indirect interests or rights in a nature reserve may be considered a stakeholder and is invited to comment on the PAMP.
CapeNature is the designated Management Authority for the Rocherpan Nature Reserve situated on the West Coast approximately 26 km north-east of the town of Velddrif.
CapeNature is responsible for the compilation of a Protected Area Management Plan (PAMP) for this protected area in accordance with the National Environmental Management: Protected Areas Act, No. 57 of 2003.
The draft PAMP for Rocherpan Nature Reserve can be downloaded below or viewed at the public libraries at Velddrif and Aurora as well as the municipal Dwarskersbos Caravan Park and the Rocherpan Nature Reserve office. Printed copies can be obtained from the consultant at a cost of R 250 each.

Interested and Affected Parties (I&APs) are invited to register and to provide written comments on the draft.

Please also note that on 11 March 2014 there will be a further participation opportunity to register and view the draft PAMP as well as associated maps and figures from 15:00 and attend a public participation information presentation at 17:00 at the Noordhoek Community Hall, corner of Lofdal and Albatros Streets, Velddrif.
