Enjoy a holiday in the heart of the Cape Winelands for less!

by CapeNature

Located between the quaint towns of Robertson and McGregor, Vrolijkheid Nature Reserve is a hidden gem in the Breede River Valley area.

Vrolijkheid is the perfect getaway for harassed city slickers seeking respite from the noise and clutter of the big urban centres and provides an ideal springboard from which to explore the quaint, picturesque towns of the Breede River Valley area.  Add in a myriad of fun filled activities – including hiking trails (one of which is the Braille Trail, designed for visually impaired hikers), tennis courts, a putt putt course, picnicking facilities, birdwatching (including access to hides that are wheelchair friendly) and mountain biking – and you have all the ingredients for a fun filled holiday with family and friends.

Guests can choose between five beautiful, spacious, luxurious cottages, all with modern conveniences which sleep up to a maximum of eight guests. Two of the units boast a Jacuzzi, while another has a swimming pool.  Outdoor braai areas and fireplaces add to the festive atmosphere.

CapeNature ploughs back the income derived from tourism locations into projects like land stewardship, invasive plant and fire fighting campaigns and conservation initiatives to care for endangered plants and animals.  But in these tough economic times, we also want you to be able to spend as much time in nature as possible because the more people experience the great outdoors, the more they and their children will love and ultimately contribute towards nurturing nature.

That is why we are offering summer school holidays at Vrolikjheid in the Cape Winelands at 2018 prices (T’s and C’s apply):

  • Luiperd, Rooikat, Ichelesi cottages (3 Units, each sleeps 8)
Peak: R2000 (1-8 persons per night)
