Rietdak Cottage, Cederberg Wilderness Area
Rietdak is a rustic stone cottage situated at Algeria. It has a fully equipped kitchen with electricity. Rietdak has two bedrooms for up to four guests.
Forest Lodge, Goukamma Nature Reserve
Hidden in riverine forest right on the edge of the Goukamma River near Sedgefield, the spacious sky lit Forest Lodge perfectly complements its stunning surroundings. Relax on the magnificent deck built around bird-filled milkwood trees as the river glides by. Follow a short boardwalk to a private jetty from which you can fish, canoe and swim.
Ichelesi, Vrolijkheid Nature Reserve
Ichelesi is the most recently renovated cottage available to stay in at Vrolijkheid, just two hours’ drive from Cape Town. It accommodates up to eight people. There are four bedrooms, two with a double bed and two with two single beds. The cottage also features an outside braai area and a swimming pool.
Tierkloof Eco Lodge, Gamkaberg Nature Reserve
Tierkloof eco lodge sleeps up to eight people in three safari-style tents pitched on decks. One tent has a double bed and two tents have two single beds each. There are two seating areas that can double up as two single beds in the living area. All lodge bookings are exclusive and you will have full use of the camp.
Lenie Marais, Swartberg Nature Reserve
This traditional cottage, with decorative gable and pebbled windows and doors, sleeps up to five people in three bedrooms (one with two single beds, one with a double bed and one with a single bed). Outdoor braai facilities are provided and wood can be purchased at the reserve office. Splash pool available.
Moorhen, Rocherpan Nature Reserve
Moorhen is one of four new double bedroom cabins available at Rocherpan Nature Reserve. It comes with a double bed, 2 single beds and a futon. Bedding and towels are provided. The cabin sleeps a maximum of five persons.
Fountain Shack, Robberg Nature Reserve
Perched on the edge of the Indian ocean, with spectacular views of the Robberg Peninsula, this renovated wooden shack sleeps eight people in four double bunk beds in an open-plan room. Only one group can book at a time.
Klipspringer, Cederberg Wilderness Area
Klipspringer is a modern two-bedroom cottage with a double bed in the main bedroom, two single beds in the other room and a sleeper couch in the living area. The cottages can accommodate four adults and preferably two children under the age of 12.
Grootvadersbosch cabins, Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve
Built and unveiled in 2016, Grootvadersbosch has 11 family/hiker cabins that are located on a ridge, with forest on either side. The cabins are arranged in two rows, with the higher cabins having expansive views of the valley, while the lower cabins look on to indigenous forest.
All 11 cabins are 4-sleepers, with two bedrooms, a kuierkamer (inside braai area), a fully equipped kitchen, and a lounge with a built-in fire place. There is also an outside braai area at each unit.
Leguaan Cottage, Anysberg Nature Reserve
Leguaan Cottage sleeps six guests in two rooms, one with two single beds and one with two bunk beds. The cottage has a lovely veranda where guests can braai.
