Escape the city – experience our award-winning eco-cabins near Kleinmond
Kogelberg Nature Reserve, just a couple of hours from Cape Town, is considered by many to be the most beautiful of CapeNature’s protected areas. Its exceptional diversity and quality of fynbos means it is also considered the heart of the Cape Floral Kingdom.
Activities include mountain biking and a variety of hiking trails throughout the Kogelberg Valley, swimming and white water kayaking on the Palmiet River or bird and whale watching for those who prefer a more sedate way to spend the day. Now you can enjoy the sights and sounds of Kogelberg at 2018 prices (T’s and C’s apply). There are five Oudebosch eco-cabins, namely Erica, Marsh Rose, Fire Lily, Iris and Everlasting Daisy (the last two have wheelchair access). Each unit sleeps up to four people. Peak rates are R2300 a night.
The reserve’s awarding winning, eco-cabins afford occupants breath-taking views of the reserve, and are fully equipped with all modern conveniences and outdoor braai areas.
CapeNature ploughs back the income derived from tourism locations into projects like land stewardship, invasive plant and fire fighting campaigns and conservation initiatives to care for endangered plants and animals. But in these tough economic times, we also want you to be able to spend as much time in nature as possible because the more people experience the great outdoors, the more they and their children will love and ultimately contribute towards nurturing nature.
