Bouldering
If rock climbing and bouldering are your adventure activity of choice, plan a visit to the Cederberg Wilderness Area – the craggy mountains and stunning rock formations in this part of the world are a climber’s paradise.
The Cederberg is home to the world-renowned Rocklands bouldering site, which also includes areas at CapeNature’s Kliphuis and partner properties at de Pakhuys, Traveller’s Rest and Kleinfontein. The most popular time for bouldering is from May to October, as it is not so hot during those months.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:
All climbers visiting Rocklands are required to have a valid permit in their possession at all times while climbing on any land within the area. To support ongoing recovery efforts following the recent wildfire, daily access is strictly limited to 100 climbers per day.
