Local nature areas and reserves offer many fun activities from hiking to birdwatching to fishing and canoeing. Arrange a Group Outing – Visit an Eco–venue (200 points)

CapeNature has a few beautiful event venues within the nature reserves called Eco-Venues where groups can stay over for a fraction of the cost. Why not bring your school or even just some friends to visit for a celebration or an educational outing? Discounts are available for many different groups including school groups (some schools are FREE), community members and other academic institutions.

Learn more about the environment by asking for a guided programme and you will enjoy a fun interactive learning experience. Take a picture of you and your group at an Eco-Venue and earn 200 points. Email learning@capenature.co.za

World Wetlands Day 2 February

Splish, splash—it’s World Wetlands Day! Every year on February 2, people around the world celebrate wetlands, some of the most amazing (and soggy!) places on Earth.

Wetlands are areas where land and water love to hang out together, like marshes, swamps, ponds, mangroves, and even muddy riverbanks. Think of them as nature’s giant sponges wearing superhero capes 🦸‍♀️💧
