From 2 February 2026, CapeNature is launching cashless payments at selected flagship reserves to provide a safer, faster, and more eco-friendly experience for our visitors. This change is part of our long-term commitment to excellent service, environmental responsibility, and operational efficiency.
Kindly note: No cash will be accepted at pilot sites, but we have made sure that you have simple, secure alternatives.
As we move into a new era of convenience and safety, CapeNature’s transition to a cashless payment system is built around five key principles.
Our guiding principles:
- Security
Cashless means safer staff, safer visitors, and secure transactions.
By going cashless, we reduce the risks associated with handling money at reserve entry points - making the environment safer for both our visitors and staff. - Convenience
Fast, easy payments via card or digital – no need to carry cash.
Whether you are tapping your card or scanning a QR code, paying for your visit has never been simpler. - Sustainability
This shift helps us streamline services and align with global eco-tourism standards.
Cashless systems support paperless transactions and reduce our environmental impact - one swipe at a time. - Readiness
Our team is ready to support you.
All frontline staff have been trained, systems tested, and signage updated. We are ready to assist you. - Inclusivity
We have consulted widely and retained flexible options during our pilot phase.
Visitors can pay with card, Scan to Pay, or pre-book online or by phone. No smartphone? No problem - we are here to help you.
