Go Bouldering at the world-renowned Rocklands site!

29 May 2019

Rocklands, in the northern Cederberg, is the world’s premier bouldering destination. Here, a timeless landscape of rugged rock invites outdoor adventurers to explore. Test your skills on the boulders, rope up for sport climbing or go for an invigorating walk. Then let the spectacular views and deep quiet of Rocklands wash over you. Just over three hours from Cape Town, you will be within reach of hundreds of first-rate boulders. Come and experience natural thrills in this one-of-a-kind wilderness.

Located on the Pakhuis Pass, close to Clanwilliam, Rocklands is a magnet for climbers from all parts of the world. This is because of the range of challenges for every climbing grade thanks to the variety of sandstone structures in the region.

Rocklands also includes the areas at CapeNature’s Kliphuis, and partner properties at de Pakhuys, Traveller's Rest, Agter Pakhuis and Kleinfontein.  It is a world famous bouldering destination with the bouldering season lasting from 30 April to 01 October every year.
