The annual Penguin Palooza event takes place at the Stony Point Nature Reserve in Betty’s Bay to highlight the important role that the African penguin plays in our marine environment. This year the event will be held on Saturday, 28 October at Stony Point Nature Reserve and will include many fun activities, exhibitions and the very popular penguin release.
The African penguin, also known as Cape penguin or South African penguin, is a species of penguin confined to southern African waters. Like all penguins, it is flightless, with a streamlined body and wings stiffened and flattened into flippers for a marine habitat.
Attend the Penguin Palooza and earn 200 points if you send us a picture of yourself at this year’s event. Keep an eye out for the official advert of the event.
