Individual Action Projects
Here are some wonderful ways you can make a difference and help protect our amazing mountains! Simply send us a picture of your action and we will assign your points to you! Each action earns you 150 pints.
- Mini Mountain Clean-Up: Go on a hike with gloves and a bag — pick up litter and leave the mountain sparkling clean! ♻️
- Create a “Save the Mountains” Storybook: Write and illustrate your own short story about protecting mountain life. 📚
- Mountain Animal Research Poster: Pick an animal (like a klipspringer or leopard) and create a fun fact sheet about its mountain home. 🦓
- Mountain Poem: Write a fun poem or song about mountains and share it with your class or family. 🎶
- “Adopt” a Mountain Animal: Choose a local species to learn about — draw it, research it, and share how people can protect it. 🐆
- No-Plastic Picnic: Pack a mountain-style picnic using zero plastic — use reusable bottles, containers, and cloth wraps! 🧺
- Cloud Watch & Weather Diary: Observe clouds and weather changes around mountain areas — learn how mountains affect climate. ☁️

From the water we drink and splash in, to the rain that helps food grow, water is a true everyday superhero 🦸♂️💦
World Wetlands Day 2 February
Splish, splash—it’s World Wetlands Day! Every year on February 2, people around the world celebrate wetlands, some of the most amazing (and soggy!) places on Earth.
Wetlands are areas where land and water love to hang out together, like marshes, swamps, ponds, mangroves, and even muddy riverbanks. Think of them as nature’s giant sponges wearing superhero capes 🦸♀️💧
Winner Leaderboard
Between November and January, our members showed incredible creativity and commitment to protecting our natural spaces. Gershone Hans earned a whopping 300 points by designing an eye-catching poster and writing a thoughtful poem focused on the importance of protecting our mountains. His passion for nature and creative expression truly stood out, securing him top spot and inspiring others to take action for our environment.
